In a move drawing widespread criticism, Pakistan has banned Indian songs on FM radio stations, calling it a “patriotic gesture” following the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed 26 lives. Instead of targeting terror networks, the Pakistan Broadcasters Association’s decision—backed by the Information Minister—has been seen as a diversionary stunt. The ban comes as India clamps down on Pakistani content and escalates diplomatic pressure after attributing the attack to Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba’s offshoot.
